Our two locations in Amsterdam are both based in the city centre, on the ground floor overlooking the canals. Grab a cup of love on our little patio for a quick caffeine break or a meeting with potential clients. Our location in Rotterdam is just off the most vibrant street in the heart of the city, with windows from floor to ceiling and a green velvet couch where dreams are made. And even when you don’t want to sit at a desk, we’ve got you covered. Swap your desk chair for one of our Moroccan pillows and take some time to relax.
It's nice to be around people with likeminded vision. Being able to share your vision and ideas with other women is all you need to get to the next step. We believe in empowering women and that's why we're all about connecting them. This is one of the many reasons why Hashtag Workmode has grown to be the perfect place for girlbosses who want to grow into better, smarter and stronger entrepreneurs - by doing it together.
In 2015 Emilie Sobels decided to pursue her dreams: she founded Hashtag Workmode and opened three locations within one year with just her savings. Her vision to create spaces where ambitious women can connect, learn and grow their business together, led her to a buzzing community with over 150 ambitious women. Summer twenty-seventeen, she published 'Babe, you got this', a book which she co-wrote with Martje Haverkamp. It hit the Top 60 Bestseller List the first week after release and listed no. 1 in non-fiction at national book store AKO. Hashtag Workmode and 'Babe, you got this.' have been covered by every women-focussed magazine, numerous newspapers, on radio and tv. Emilie dreams of building an international brand empowering women all over the world.
Flash back to 2009; at the age of 21 and being a first-year student, Emilie helped three young internet entrepreneurs co-found online fashion community Fashiolista, which quickly grew to be one of the largest international online fashion communities worldwide. From studying at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute with a job on the side, Emilie’s time shifted to a full-time work week and a study on the side. During the following six years, she was responsible for all communications, PR, partnerships and strategic decisions as Fashiolista's Fashion Director. She paved the way for influencer marketing, working with a large variety of international bloggers and brands on campaigns and international events. The company grew from 5 to 50 employees in just a few years time, curating fashion items for over 2 million international members and developing new ways to connect brands to consumers.
